Jordan Coughlen

Executive Director

Jordan earned master’s degrees in public health and social work from the University of Pittsburgh. His dedication to accessible care, educational initiatives and trauma-informed treatment are among the strengths Jordan brings to Milestone. His background includes therapeutic case management, program development, regulatory compliance and fundraising. Prior to joining Milestone, Jordan was the CEO of Alpha House (a community-based treatment center in Pittsburgh serving individuals with a substance use disorder).

Stacey Dowden

Senior Director of Intellectual & Developmental Disability Services

Stacey Dowden oversees Milestone Centers Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Services, including residential and vocational programs provided to Milestone clients in Allegheny and Westmoreland counties. A Milestone team member since 1991, Stacey’s previous roles have included Director of Quality and Compliance, Employment and Vocational Services Director, and Employment Specialist.

Stacey earned a degree in Human Development and Family Studies.

Darryl Bergstrom

Director, Health Care Quality Unit Northwest

Darryl Bergstrom joined Milestone Health Care Quality Unit Northwest in 2002. Darryl oversees the day-to-day operations of the HCQU which includes working to support and improve the health information and knowledge for the intellectual disabilities community service system by enhancing the ability to serve those with disabilities within a nine-county region. Darryl is certified as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and a QPR (Question, Persuade & Refer) Suicide Prevention Instructor. He earned his master’s degree in business administration.

Natalie Symons, RN

Director, Health Care Quality Unit West

With Milestone since 2002, Natalie manages the Milestone’s Health Care Quality Unit (HCQU) West. She is responsible for the oversight of the program, which includes development of curriculum, assisting providers who support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities that have complex medical and behavioral needs, and enhancing the ability to serve those with disabilities within a nine-county region. Natalie has been a Registered Nurse since 1996.
